Here’s a mini watercolor demonstration. These black eyed Susan’s are a good flower to paint for warming up. First I paint a brown ball, then I add petals starting from the outside and pulling up toward the center. The side petals are shorter and thinner. I’m using a mix of browns and for the yellow it’s Naples yellow and yellow ochre. I like to lightly touch the center for a bit of color blending.
