I restored a very rare trench lighter from World War II, "D-Day" 1944. Restoration of an extremely rare and beautiful WW2 Trench Lighter with US Coat of Arms. This unique lighter was found in Normandy at the sites of Allied battles with German troops. These events took place in June 1944, the so-called operation "Neptune" (D-Day) - the opening of the second front by the allied forces of the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia and others. More than 150,000 soldiers took part in this operation.
