From the WHAS 11 Archive: Around 1965 hosts of T-Bar-V Ranch went to the Kentucky State Fair to showcase the 4-H kids' great craftsmenship. This is the first time this film has been seen in over 50 years. This is Randy Atcher interviewing Keith from Louisville. Tomorrow we will show Tom "Cactus" Brooks interviewing a couple more talented kids. Randy Atcher entertained Kentuckiana for years on WHAS radio and TV. In December, Atcher would have turned 100-years-old. Born in 1918, Atcher played guitar and mandolin and he's best known for the song he sang to his youngest fans. Over the coming weeks, Great Day Live will be paying tribute to Randy Atcher. He helped WHAS 11 celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2000, so of course we are remembering Randy Atcher on what woud have been his 100th birthday. He was the star of the 2 most popular shows on WHAS-TV our first 20 years on the air, T-Bar-V Ranch and Hayloft Hoedown.
