Winford Lindsey Stewart, better known as Wynn Stewart, was born June 7, 1934 in Morrisville, Missouri. A pioneer of the Bakersfield Sound, he wrote Merle Haggard's "Sing A Sad Song," and had five hits of his own during the 1960s, including "It's Such A Pretty World Today".
