Florida Forestry Service adds drones to help with controlled burns ahead of wildfire season

UPDATE: A Florida Forestry Service spokesman says a wildfire located north of Interstate 10 between the Avalon and Bagdad exits is now 100 acres and moving northeast with medium to long-range spotting, which is making containment difficult. Current there are six pieces of heavy equipment, two brush trucks and one helicopter fighting the blaze, which has been named the "Five Mile Swamp Fire." Avalon and Bagdad fire departments are staging in the neighborhoods to the north as a precaution, per FFS
