These wasps make their nests out of mud and place spiders and other invertebrates inside. They then lay their eggs and cap the opening with more mud before the entire structure hardens entombing the eggs and paralysed prey item. The eggs hatch and the larvae feed on the offering before emerging as wasps themselves sometime later. Here we observed an adult carrying balls of rolled mud to the second story balcony and hammering it neatly onto the latest nest. Now that's WILD! | Wild Conservation
