Here's how I forage curly dock! This is a super common weed in much of North America. The leaves are really nice as a cooked green, but they do have high levels of oxalates. The best curly dock leaves will be: ✅ Emerging from the center of the plant ✅ Still rolled like a scroll, or ✅ Creased along the edges with some give The sheath and slime are fine to leave on, but they can also easily be removed and washed away.
