Showers and thunderstorms continue to move east across north central and northeastern Colorado. Very heavy rain, quarter size hail and wind gusts to 60 mph are possible with the strongest storms. In addition, dangerous cloud to ground lightning will be possible with any of the storms. Snow, heavy at times will continue to fall across the Northern and Central Mountains of Colorado through tonight. Snowfall rates may approach 2 inches per hour in the heavier snow, especially along the I-70 corridor through the mountains. In addition, wind gusts up to 60 mph will be possible over the mountain passes resulting in blowing snow, reduced visibility and hazardous driving conditions.
