Seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has stated that he doesn't want any elements from the current SF25 F1 car to be carried forward to the 2026 car. Hamilton suggested that Ferrari should start fresh to develop the new car after a disappointing home race at Silverstone.

Hamilton has been largely outclassed by his team-mate Charles Leclerc this season, with the 27-year-old out-qualifying the champion on eight occasions. At Silverstone however, Hamilton was the Ferrari driver with the advantage and Leclerc was unable to even finish inside the top 10 in the tricky conditions on Sunday.

Lewis Hamilton managed to secure fourth position, his best result for Ferrari this season, yet the Silverstone race showed how limited the SF-25 was. We’ll get into the particulars of why the British GP was a microcosm of all of Ferrari’s failures this F1 season.
