Costco announces 9 new stores opening in 2025, starting with 6 in March
Retail giant Costco is preparing to open six new locations in the United States in the coming weeks, and three additional ones worldwide very soon, the company says.

Costco will open its newest stores in the Lone Star State in Prosper and Weatherford on March 14 and 15, respectively. The store will also open locations in: Genesee County, Michigan (March 13) There are currently 43 Costco stores in Texas, making the state second only to California for the most locations in the U.S.

Currently, Costco operates 897 stores, with 617 located in the United States and Puerto Rico. After the store openings in March, Costco will cross the 900-store mark with 903 warehouses. Costco also has stores in Canada, Mexico, Japan, the United Kingdom, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, China, Spain, France, Iceland, New Zealand and Sweden.
