Dawson Mercer had a goal and an assist as the New Jersey Devils broke out of a rut with a 3-2 victory against the host Seattle Kraken on Monday night.

The Devils’ four consecutive defeats hung heavy over them, but on Monday, January 6th, they finally shed it, conquering the Seattle Kraken 3-2 to reclaim their winning spirit.

SEATTLE -- Jacob Markstrom made 22 saves to help the New Jersey Devils end a four-game losing streak with a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Monday. Markstrom's biggest save of the game came just moments after Palat's go-ahead goal, stopping Eeli Tolvanen on his doorstep. Markstrom was spectacular all evening, making 21 saves on 23 shots.
