New animated Marvel series featuring Spider-Man is set to swing onto Disney+ very soon - but is it set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man explores Peter Parker's origin story and early days as Spider-Man around his Freshman Year.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is exclusive to Disney+, so you’ll need a subscription to stream the new show. Luckily, the new episode will be available no matter which plan you’re subscribed to. There are two Disney+ plans: one with ads costs $9.99/month, while the ad-free plan costs $15.99/month.

The Mirror US reports there are several deviations from the main MCU timeline, the most significant being Norman Osborn (Colman Domingo) acting as a mentor to Peter Park (Hudson Thames) instead of Tony Stark. The series has seen a few changes since its announcement in 2021 and forms part of Phase Five of the MCU.
