Havertz tore his hamstring when blocking a shot in training in Dubai and Arsenal have confirmed he will not return until next season. The striker has confirmed he underwent a successful operation on Saturday, as he targets a return to fitness in the summer.

Arsenal’s dynamic winger, Bukayo Saka, has been sidelined since December following a hamstring tear. Initially expected to be out until March, the club recently sparked hope among fans with images of Saka working out in a gym in Dubai.

Arsenal suffered yet another hamstring injury when Gabriel Martinelli was injured against Newcastle on February 5. He departed during the first half of action at St James' Park and, like Saka, Arsenal are hopeful he returns following the next international break in late March.
