Gilgeous-Alexander became the ninth player in NBA history to score at least 50 points on three or more occasions in a seven-game span, according to the Thunder. The list includes Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor. Gilgeous-Alexander brushed it off when asked what it meant to join those players.

Alexander figured his night was over at the end of the third quarter, when the Oklahoma City Thunder held a 25-point lead over the Phoenix Suns. He was fine with sitting down with 46 points. But Thunder coach Mark Daigneault wanted to give his superstar a shot to hit the 50-point milestone for the third time in a seven-game span.
