No one was injured Tuesday morning after a car was "clipped" by an Amtrak train in North Tonawanda. North Tonawanda police and fire units were called to the rail crossing at Ward and River roads about 7:10 a.

A car became trapped under the stop-arm of a railroad track at the intersection of Ward Road. and River Road in the City of North Tonawanda. A train hit the front end of the vehicle, however, the driver was not reported to be injured.

Police and firefighters responded at 7:10 a.m. to the crossing at Ward Road and River Road following several calls about a car struck by a railroad crossing arm.
