More than 160 flights canceled at Boston's Logan Airport Monday because of government shutdown
The flight cancellations ordered across the country by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) hit 52 Monday morning at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. According to FlightAware, there have also been dozens of delays at Logan.
A Boston Logan International Airport runway reopened Friday after closing for more than two months as construction crews worked on safety upgrades. Runway 9-27 has been shut down since Sept. 2 as part of a plan to install a “vital” new safety system meant to stop planes that have overshot the runway, Massport said.
