The hosts of Fox & Friends were apparently just as surprised as everybody else to learn that Donald Trump had chosen their colleague Pete Hegseth as his next defense secretary. The president-elect announced his eyebrow-raising nomination on Truth Social Tuesday,

"Is that real?" Doocy said, not believing it could be true. The Fox and Friends hosts did their best to pretend their colleague is completely qualified to be the Secretary of Defense, even though he has no experience running anything other than a shell charity that he paid his brother with.

President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense, making it abundantly clear that this will be round two of the revolving door between Fox News and Trump’s administration.
