The Chiefs are putting kicker Harrison Butker on injured reserve while he undergoes a procedure on his knee, though they hope to have him back for the playoffs, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Thursday.

The Bills have ruled tight end Dalton Kincaid, who's second on the team in receptions, out for Sunday's game against the visiting Chiefs.

In his stead, Dawson Knox will step up as the starting tight end, a job he held from 2019 to 2022 before the Bills picked Kincaid in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Kincaid's absence this coming Sunday was the expected move after the tight end left last weekend's game twice with a knee injury.
