Tropical Storm Sara is bringing life-threatening rain to Central America, and now the National Hurricane Center is reporting that winds with the storm have increased to 50mph. The storm is moving west and is expected to move inland,

Storms so late in the season are rare. But Sara follows Hurricane Rafael, which pounded through the Caribbean last week and later fell apart in the Gulf of Mexico. Sara is the 18th named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season.
