Fox Corp. has continued its push for Tubi, its free, ad-supported streaming service, by streaming this year’s Super Bowl there and running another strange in-game Super Bowl ad. This one stars a man born with a taste for Westerns and a head shaped like a cowboy hat.

Fox Corp. is boasting a record haul in ad sales for Super Bowl LIX on Fox and Tubi of more than $800 million in gross revenue.

While Tubi’s pricing is far lower than the $7 million to $8 million advertisers paid for 30 seconds of national ad space on Fox, the audience will also be much smaller than broadcast’s, which last year hit 120 million on CBS out of the 123.4 million total for Super Bowl LVIII.

The ad takes viewers to a world where people’s heads are made of giant, fleshy hats. You read that right. Tubi is known for its off-the-wall marketing campaigns, and it decided to lean into that reputation in a big way on Sunday.
