The NatWest moved out of the five-storey building at 22 Castle Street in October 2017 in favour of a new site on the corner of Church Street and Paradise Street, where the Select shop used to be.
The Castle Street building was built for the former Parr’s Bank from 1898 to 1901. It was designed by Richard Norman Shaw, who was considered one of the leading architects of the 19th century.
