Houston finally says goodbye to winter this week as warmer weather arrives. Sunny skies result in temperatures approaching 80 degrees by midweek.

Low clouds early Tuesday will gradually break for some afternoon sunshine. Highs will climb into the 70s, with inland areas possibly hitting upper 70s, though the coast stays closer to 60. Milder temperatures move in on Tuesday night along with another batch of fog.

Following soggy and chilly weekend, sunshine and milder south winds will return just about all of next week, so highs should range from the upper 60s to the upper 70s with a slight rain chance.

A cold rain is expected to take over Southeast Texas by Saturday afternoon as temperatures reach only the 40s, resulting in a pretty miserable day.
