We spoke with John Sigler of Saints Wire to give us a rundown on what we can expect from new Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

The Chicago Bears introduced new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to the media on Thursday. Allen joins the Bears from New Orleans, where he spent the last three seasons as the Saints head coach.

The Chicago Bears’ defensive staff is taking shape following the hiring of Dennis Allen as defensive coordinator. Their latest hire brings with him one of the longest and most storied careers of any assistant coach in the business.

Las Vegas Raiders coach Pete Carroll has retained defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, a person familiar with the decision said Thursday. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team didn't announce the move.

Graham interviewed with the Jaguars for their head coach and DC vacancies as well as the Bengals for their DC opening

The New York Jets have their defensive coordinator for Aaron Glenn. The team has reportedly tabbed veteran, longtime NFL coach and coordinator Steve Wilks as the DC for Glenn’s coaching staff, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero: The #Jets have agreed to terms with Steve Wilks as their defensive coordinator, per sources.

Wilks, who replaces Jeff Ulbrich as the Jets’ defensive coordinator, also has head coaching experience. He was Arizona’s coach in 2018 and was fired after the Cardinals finished 3-13. Wilks also was Carolina’s interim coach when he replaced the fired Matt Rhule in 2022 and went 6-6 with the Panthers.

The New York Jets have agreed to bring on former NFL head coach Steve Wilks as the team’s defensive coordinator under coach Aaron Glenn, according to a league source.
