Florida Judge Aileen Cannon stated Monday that she would not block the release of Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith's report on President-elect Donald Trump's 2020 election interference case.

"You repeatedly described investigations and prosecutions of Mr. Trump, Trump as a witch hunt, and you have echoed his calls for investigating and prosecuting his political opponents. This flies in the face of evidence," he said.

Donald Trump posted a furious rant Tuesday over the release of Jack Smith’s damning report detailing the president-elect’s alleged efforts to subvert the results of the 2020 election.

In a shock decision last year, Judge Cannon dismissed the Mar-a-Lago case after agreeing with Trump’s attorneys that Smith was unconstitutionally appointed and funded. Smith’s team appealed that decision, but then dropped Trump as a defendant after his election. The case against his co-defendants Waltine Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira is ongoing.
