Gael Monfils rallied from a set down to claim a thrilling 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (1), 6-4 win over American Taylor Fritz in a third-round match at the Australian Open.

On the men's side, No. 4 seed Taylor Fritz is out. The American was stunned by tour veteran and former world No. 6 Gael Monfils, who danced in celebration after causing the upset. Reigning champion Jannik Sinner will also continue his campaign while Alex de Minaur looks to keep the Aussie dream alive.

Taylor Fritz took less than two hours to clinch his first-round match at the Australian Open against fellow American Jenson Brooksby.
