According to newly released court documents, Arielle Konig said her husband struck her with a rock 10 times on the head, grabbed her hair, and smashed her face into the ground.

The doctor accused of trying to kill his wife while hiking in Hawaii only stopped his rock-beating, syringe-wielding attack when fellow hikers came by, according to court documents revealed Thursday.

Arielle alleged that Konig, an anesthesiologist in Maui, “yelled at her to come back, and when she refused, he pushed her into the bushes where they began to struggle,” according to the affidavit.
