After countless months of PS Plus' Essential offerings falling incredibly short of the mark, it is looking like PS Plus Extra may soon take its place.

Sony has announced the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for January 2025. January 2025 brings new PS Plus Extra games like God of War Ragnarok and Citizen Sleeper. Premium subscribers get access to all the Extra games plus exclusive titles.

PS Plus is set to deliver its January batch of titles to players late this month, all thanks to how the first Wednesday of the month has fallen. Here's what you need to know about the late game drop.

Consisting of around a dozen PS4 and PS5 games, the PlayStation Plus Extra line-up will be unveiled by Sony at 4.30pm GMT UK time on January 15. The games will be available to download and play less than a week later, on the morning of January 21.

The PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium January 2025 lineup certainly starts the year off strong with big hitters like God of War: Ragnarok and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name on the subscription service.
