Air Force Day 2023: Indian Air Force was officially established on Oct 8, 1932. IAF crest has national symbol, Ashoka lion on top with words 'Satyameva Jayate' in Devanagari below it.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari on Sunday unveiled a new ensign of the Indian Air Force (IAF), replacing the existing one that was adopted more than seven decades back.

The new Ensign was then hoisted, while the previous version lowered, folded with full honors, and handed over to the Air Chief. It will now become part of the exhibits at the Air Force Museum.

A Mi-17v5 helicopter also flew low, trooping the new Air Force ensign. The new lAF ensign has witnessed inclusion of the Air Force Crest in the top right corner towards the fly side.
