Why is spring so windy?
Isobars are lines of equal pressure that surround a low-pressure system, and the more isobars there are and the closer they are together, the stronger the gradient and the stronger the winds will be.
The low pressure of a depressions causes clouds and rainfall to form. Depressions therefore bring unsettled weather and rain. Winds are normally stronger, shown by the isobars being closer together.
