Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Dončić faced off as the remaining top MVP candidates in a game that provided little excitement. The Oklahoma City Thunder dominated from start to finish behind Gilgeous-Alexander’s stellar play. JJ Redick has got the best of his team this season, but they didn’t show up against the defending NBA Champions.

Even though their opponents were without LeBron James, the Milwaukee Bucks were blown out by the Los Angeles Lakers on the second night of a back-to-back. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 32 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and had five assists—the only Buck to score over 15 points. Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves combined for 66 points and 10 made threes.
The G League Lakers started off their 2025-26 schedule the right way, as several players put forth excellent performances.
