Hobby Lobby has acquired a historic church building on Magazine Street in the heart of Uptown from the New Orleans Baptist Association photographed in New Orleans, Monday, Dec. 5, 2022.

The Valence Street Baptist Church has a long history. The land was purchased by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1885. It hired well-known architect Thomas Sully to design the church.
