Joc Pederson gets a $5.5 million signing bonus as part of his $37 million, two-year contract with the Texas Rangers.

The Texas Rangers announced the signing of Joc Pederson to a two-year, $37 million contract just before the new year. While he is likely to move into a designated hitter role, Pederson can potentially bring a big thump to a lineup that was missing a power hitter in 2024.

"It's time for us to take over the West," New Texas Rangers slugger Joc Pederson said, referring to the Houston Astros eight-year reign atop the AL West.
