President Donald Trump said early Monday he is "not offering Iran anything" despite suggesting new nuclear talks with Tehran.

Iran is assessing the damage and lashing out over the American and Israeli airstrikes on its nuclear sites, though Tehran kept open the possibility Tuesday of resuming talks with Washington over its atomic program.

President Trump’s historic precision strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites over the weekend hit their targets and “destroyed" and “badly damaged" the facilities’ critical infrastructure — an assessment agreed upon by Iran’s Foreign Ministry,

"Khamenei's position is surely weakened," Arash Azizi, who unveiled an alleged plot against the supreme leader, told Newsweek.

The arrests have raised fears that a new wave of repression is coming, as the government seeks to root out spy networks and clamp down on any dissent.

Iranian authorities have arrested hundreds of people and executed dozens in a wave of repression following the 12-day war with Israel, activists say, accusing the Islamic republic of using fear to compensate for weaknesses revealed by the conflict.
