Hyundai says it will expand production capacity by two-thirds at its sprawling new electric vehicle plant in Georgia.

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is the automotive giant's factory of the future, setting the company up for regional production of new vehicles, including the forthcoming Hyundai Ioniq 9 SUV.

It's the largest investment ever in the U.S. for the South Korean conglomerate according to its chairman Euisun Chung.
