The woman at the center of the abuse case involving former Gateway Church founder Robert Morris testified Wednesday at the Texas Capitol in Austin, days after Morris turned himself in to Oklahoma authorities on child sexual abuse charges. Cindy Clemishire testified on behalf of a bill involving abuse victims and a civil court agreement.

Cindy Clemishire, the Oklahoma woman who accused Gateway Church founding pastor Robert Morris of sexually abusing her starting when she was 12 in the ‘80s, leading to his indictment last week, testified before a Texas House committee about the alleged abuse.

Robert Morris resigned from his post after admitting to "inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady" 35 years ago.
