Authorities in South Korea are pursuing an arrest warrant for impeached President Yoon over allegations linked to a martial law probe.

SEOUL -- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has failed to comply to a second summons for questioning over his brief declaration of martial law, a joint investigation team said Wednesday, as the suspended leader's security service stands in the way of investigators.

South Korean investigators were attempting to arrest President Yoon Suk Yeol as part of a probe into alleged treason and abuse of power after his failed attempt last month to impose martial law. The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials said early on Friday local time that it had begun to execute an arrest warrant for Yoon.

The anti-corruption agency withdrew its investigators after the presidential security service blocked them from entering Yoon Suk Yeol’s residence.
