Rapper A$AP Rocky 's felony assault trial has reached closing arguments—almost three years after the police raided his $4 million Los Angeles home as part of their investigation into claims he shot a gun at his former friend during a physical altercation in 2021.

Closing arguments began Thursday, when Rocky's longtime partner, the singing superstar Rihanna, walked quietly into the downtown Los Angeles courtroom after proceedings began, as she has several times during the three-week trial. She brought their two young sons.

Rihanna is deeply worried about A$AP Rocky’s legal troubles and is reportedly investing heavily in his defense to keep him out of jail. The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is facing felony assault charges for allegedly shooting at former friend A$AP Relli near a Hollywood hotel in 2021.
