It was another defeat for Chelsea on the road in the Premier League as Aston Villa completed a comeback to claim a 2-1 win at Villa Park on Saturday night.

It was far from a poor performance from Chelsea against Aston Villa, but it definitely left much to be desired. They had ample chances to ensure they had a bigger cushion before the hosts found a way back through Marco Asensio's first goal and should really have got themselves back in front.

Pre-match speculation of a formation change didn’t quite turn out to be true, but the slight tweaks in roles and personnel did pay dividends almost immediately, with the front-four proving a right handful for Villa to handle.
