First time visit. We took a tour bus from Lisbon which was about 50 minutes but you can take the train as well. We got there right when it opened and we were one of the first groups through. Nice …Full review by lucycan

Waiting in queue for 12:00 entry. No one has a clue what is going on. No clear instructions, directions or signage. Just harassed staff checking passes at least three times so far by the same person.…Full review by slowbarfie

Architecture, furniture, gardens and history were all impressive. I didn't realize how big it is. Well worth the time.Full review by Keith B

I see on the website it says that there are disruptions due to works on the building. Especially on the Manueline facade, the chapel, the Jardim da Preta and upper area of gardens; Has anyone experienced this during the month of February 2019 and how bad is it. Many thanks.
A:
I would guess that you can "work around" this disruption--it is a big place and the gardens are large. It is worth seeing if you are in the area. If in doubt, call them in advance.

parquesdesintra pt / en - problem entering US phone # on this website to buy tickets (can't put the real link in this question but that is the site). Anyone else have this problem? It's a required field on the site. Thanks.
A:
I would also recommend just trying again. There was not a huge line there when I went anyway, so I think if all else fails it's okay to buy the tickets there.

We are planning to visit with our 18th old toddler. How easy is it to get to castle with the little one with his stroller? Thanks
A:
This is no place to take a stroller! There is a circular staircase of 33 steps to go up. A few long staircases to go down. I strongly advise you not to take a stroller! You won’t be happy and …

Thanks everyone again. I tried to order the ticket online, but it fails with 2 different credit cards. Also, there is a bug on the website that don't allow 10 digit (US) phone number. If you enter 10 digits (not including the +1 country code), the website will shrink it to 9 digits??!! Amazing....

At what time does this Palace close on SUNDAYs? I've read some conflicting info, and I'm trying to figure out if I'd be able to visit the palace arriving 12:30p on a Sunday in September. Even if it closes at 2PM, is that enough time? 1.5 hrs?

Awesome. Thank you all. :) I'm going to give myself 1.5 Hrs, as I tend to move quickly (the New Yorker in me), especially when taking pictures because I want to enjoy the moment while I'm actually there. I will of course take a few snapshots to reminisce later on, but the most important thing for me is to soak it all in while I'm there. :)
