Our guide was so informative and you could see she loved what she did. I would happily get a longer tour and do this one a second time.Full review by Capnheinz

Hi! I booked an excursion for this from Celebrity Cruises, and it says we have to hike through the jungle but didn't say how long the hike is. Is this doable with kids? I have an 8 year old and 11 year old. Thanks!

You drive in to where the ticket booth is you’re fine, you can walk that no problem. Could probably do all of the ruins and grounds in a couple hours. No huge long treks.

Looking at touring this during our cruise. Are there any pyramids at San Gervasio?
A:
This site is an old pilgrimage/worship ground. There are no pyramids, just the bases of some! It is still very interesting(especially with a guide)

We did this as part of a cruise line excursion - it's about an hour-long ride to the site, which they broke up with a stop at a beach with some interesting rock formations. I don't remember exact cost, but I felt safer than trying to catch a taxi and we got some good information about the history of the area on the way as well as a guided tour at the site.
